I research full-garment modeling and how it fits into the design and manufacturing process for e-textiles. I look at material selection and fit with a particular emphasis on compression garments and e-textile integration strategies.

Some questions I'm currently exploring:

• How does the knit structure and composition affect the electromechanical performance of e-textile interconnects? 

• How do full-garment simulations (e.g., CLO 3D, Optitex, Browzwear) compare to FEM yarn-level and membrane simulations (e.g., ANSYS, ABACUS)?

• How can internal fabric stress be mapped to body contact pressure for compression garments and e-textile sensors?
